The Ugly Truth About Making Money Online In 2023

Many of my subscribers have been asking me questions along the line of...

"Is it still possible to make money online?"

"Is there still a real way to make money online?"

Here are my thoughts:

Years back, I used to ask this question as well but overtime and with experience I've come to realize that

Making money whether online or offline generally follows the same principles.

And if you follow those principles you’ll make money, be it online or offline, it is that simple.

The  problem is that many young people who are actively searching for a means of making money online are looking for where they can get something for nothing.

And that is why they fall prey to ponzi schemes like MMM, Ultimate cycle and the likes of them.

NOTE:  Any online scheme that encourages you to invest 20,000 to get back 40,000 or anything like that within 24 hours without doing anything is a scam

Since 2020, I have actively made money online, I have also studied a lot  of other people making money both online and offline  and I’ve found out this simple truth,

"For  anyone to make money, they must have something of value to offer or exchange for the money they intend to get."

This value can be in form of a product or service.

For instance during the covid 19 lockdown  back in 2020, I was an undergraduate in my final year and the lockdown hit me the most.

I was broke, busted and confused, there was even this girl I was crushing on back then, I couldn't even afford an MTN recharge card to call her, yes, it was that bad for me. I had to rely on MTN SMS to communicate with her.

I thought hard on what to do, and that was how I started out online. I needed to make money online legitimately and not with so called yahoo yahoo because I am a christian and fraud is a sin.

So I started with learning the skill of graphic design, because I needed something of value I had to offer in exchange for the money I intended to get. And that was how i started  out online

You can also relate this to the man who sells shoes. What he offers you are shoes and in exchange you give him your money.

The other person who drives a taxi carries you from one place to the other offering you transportation services and you pay.

This same process is applicable online.

For anyone to make money online the person has to offer something in exchange for the money.

This can also be a product or service. But because we are talking about the online space, it has to be digital products or services.

Some of these digital services offered are

1 Graphic Design

2 Copywriting

3 Web Designing

4 Video Creation/Editing

5 Content Creation

6 Freelancing

7 Sales and Marketing etc.

Digital Products can come in form of;

1 Videos courses

2 Ebooks

3 Audiobooks etc

Now the truth is this, you have to possess one of these digital skills, or render some of these services to be able to earn money online.

Anything less than rendering a  form of service in exchange for the desired financial reward is not legitimate, it's a ponzi and it will soon crash.

A clear example is just like MMM and ultimate cycle system where you put in 20,000 for instance and all of a sudden after 2 weeks, you come back to get 40,000. This is just typical  ponzi scam.

In this case, there’s no product, no service and no form of value exchanged.

You just wake up one morning and your money has grown (LoL), as mango tree bah?

When you put your money into these schemes, you’re just throwing away your hard earned money.

So…

Are you looking for a means to increase your finances and make more money online?

Let me tell you the simple formula to create wealth

This formula is what everyone you know who is successful is using to generate massive wealth for themselves.

The formula is simple and here it is

Step 1: Find out what people want

Step 2: Give it to them (in exchange for kudi)

This sounds simple right? Well it is.

Let me break it down for you

For Step 1, what people want could be anything from a cure to an ailment, to how to loose weight or how to solve fertility problems or even how to have better sex.

So once you’ve identified this problem, the next thing to do which is step 2 is to find a product or service that solves this problem and offer it to them in exchange for some money.

Now you might be asking, how do I get products to sell?

Since we’re talking about making money online, it  means we’re talking about how to get digital products.

Remember, by now you must have identified a problem and a large group of people that  has this problem, for example overweight women looking to loose weight.

Good, now there are basically 3 ways to get these products to offer them

Number 1 - Create it yourself

Number 2 - Buy the product and obtain resell rights for it and sell it.

Number 3 - Sell as an affiliate

The Number 1 is to create the product yourself if you are knowledgeable about it.

So do you know how overweight women can loose weight?

Create a product around it and offer it to them.

The Number 2 way of getting the product is to look for who has created the product you want, then buy resell rights from them and sell the products to your audience

The Number 3 way, which is actually the simplest way is to sell as an affiliate of the product.

What you do here is, you find the digital product then register as an affiliate so you can earn commission from it when you make sales.

So when you recommend the product to the group of over weight women and they buy, you get paid part of the money.

Lets assume the product is sold at 20,000 and you earn 50% (cut) commission when a sale  is made.

For every sale you make of the product, you get 10,000.

If you are able to recommend it and 10 persons buy the product

You’ll have made 10 x 10,000 = 100,000

The reason why I recommend number 3 is because you don’t need to go through the stress of creating your own product or buying resell rights, which can be quite expensive for a beginner.

And also if you have a smartphone and internet data, then you have all the tools to start immediately.

I also recommend the Affiliate business model because:

• You don't need a lot of money to start (You can start with as low as N25,000)
• The market for digital products is HUGE and UNLIMITED (you will never run out of products to sell)
• You don't need a shop or office to start
• And the profits can be fast and crazy

So, How Come a Lot of Nigerians Are Not Doing This?

There are three reasons:

(1) They don't know about the business

(2) They know about it but they lack enough information to get started and succeed with it.

(3) The affiliate marketing business works best if you have at least N25k as capital and willingness to do some work.

But the good thing is that you can turn your capital into a lot of profits within a few weeks if you use a proven system.
